Public Works: new roundabout open, leaf pickup schedule and INDOT grant application
Public Works reported the new roundabout at 100 S and 400 E is open, leaf pickup begins the third week of October, crews removed roughly 35,000 pounds of brush during brush week, and the city has applied for an INDOT Community Crossings matching grant (up to $1,000,000 with a 50% match).

Alex Smith told the board Sept. 14 that the new roundabout at 100 South and 400 East opened to traffic and that crews continue routine street sweeping, mowing and pavement patching (about 3 tons of asphalt used in recent patching). During brush week the street crew collected roughly 35,000 pounds of brush; Smith said the material is taken to Lamb's Farms under an apparent contract.
