WRTA reports ridership gains and wins USDA technical-assistance grant
WRTA reported December ridership gains across services and said it has nearly met its FY26 local match but still needs about $152,576.50; the agency also announced a USDA-funded technical assistance grant to study long-term sustainability and service design.

WRTA officials told commissioners December represented strong ridership, with the Safe Ride program carrying 818 passengers (a 36% increase from the prior month) and microtransit in Riverton showing a 19% month-to-month rise. WRTA reported systemwide growth of about 9% to 3,957 total passengers across services.
