The Board of Trustees on Aug. 20 unanimously approved appointments within the Sperry Fire Department, naming William Pratt interim captain and Khristian Roberson interim lieutenant, both effective the same day. Mayor Robert Morton moved both appointments and Trustee Patrick McCotter seconded; votes were recorded as unanimous.
