The commission approved resolution 204-26 to accept the Haas Brothers' 'Bellini Tree' as public art for a new plaza at 320 Lakeview Avenue. City public-art staff described the 20-foot-high, mixed-material sculpture—bronze trunk, hand-beaded foliage and glass elements—sited at the entry point of a public plaza and engineered to withstand hurricane conditions. Art and Public Places Advisory Committee recommended approval and the commission voted unanimously.
