The director reported that WIC funding was approved on a month‑to‑month basis through Sept. 30 and that farmers‑market outreach events and collaborations with local partners (Holycap referenced) have been successful. She said the WIC breastfeeding peer‑counselor program plans to start a new breastfeeding support group in Vernon County and will meet with the state next week to pursue approval.
