Council considered a package of ordinances to extend contracts and increase funding for the Lead Safe Columbus program, which prevents lead poisoning and supports healthy-home repairs. Department of Development staff said the program received a March 2025 HUD award for $7,565,000 to be used through March 2029 and that the current ordinance package will add funding (individual increases of up to $300,000 and other amounts) and extend contract end dates to Dec. 31, 2027.
