The county voted unanimously to authorize participation in a Tennessee County Technical Assistance Service (CTAS) performance-excellence, or "Baldrige," program after Mayor (speaker 9) described the program and its cost. The Mayor said CTAS is offering the program to counties at a discounted rate and that the fee would be $3,000 instead of the usual $5,000.
