Commission defeats proposal to extend Thornburg Road after split public hearing
A first-reading resolution to add about 138 feet of Thornburg Road to Greene County's official road list failed 4–15 on March 17 after property owners clashed over whether the dead-end extension serves any public purpose or is needed for a private sale.

Mayor Kevin Morrison opened a March 17 public hearing on whether to add a portion of Thornburg Road to Greene County’s official road list and then called for a roll-call vote on the resolution. After two residents and a realtor spoke, the commission rejected the measure on a 4–15 vote.
