Surry County makes multiple board appointments and reappoints Tax Administrator
The Board appointed and reappointed members to several boards and committees, accepted a Social Services update including the Energy Programs Outreach Plan, and unanimously reappointed Penny Harrison as Tax Administrator following closed session.

The Board agreed to a slate of appointments and reappointments during the June 15 meeting. The board appointed Carson Driggers and Cindy Coogan to the Aging Planning Committee, Matthew White to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, Michael Barnes to the PTRC Workforce Development Board, and reappointed Deidre Rogers to the Surry Community College Board of Trustees. The appointments were approved unanimously (motion: Commissioner Hiatt; second: Commissioner Tucker).
