EDA explores childcare options for Community Center and broader support
The EDA discussed possible use of the Community Center for school-aged childcare and alternative approaches, including leasing property to providers or a 'childcare house' model; Director Hahn will seek additional financial analysis and speak with Fillmore Central and First Children’s Finance.

Board member Greg Schieber reported on inquiries about using Community Center space for school-aged childcare. In speaking with Umbelina Cremer, Schieber said she indicated that another entity would need to hold the license for a childcare facility at the Community Center.
