At the department presentations, sheriff's staff asked the board to fund one additional sergeant to cover the Thursday–Sunday day shift, citing that recent hires have increased supervisory questions on that shift. "I'd like to get one additional sergeant," the sheriff's representative said while outlining the personnel request and an estimated personnel budget impact of about $6,700.
