Council OKs Ace Hardware expansion under border-region program; city projected to net nearly $10M

The council approved a development agreement for Ace Hardware to expand at 3506 Ringgold Road under the state border-region program. Staff said the qualifying investment is about $2.4–$2.5 million, taxable sales are projected to begin at about $8.2 million in 2028, and the deal uses an 80/20 reimbursement split tied to performance.

The East Ridge City Council approved resolution 38-53 on Sept. 10, authorizing a development agreement with Ace Hardware of Eastridge Inc. to expand at 3506 Ringgold Road and participate in the state border-region incentive program.
