Council hears LED lighting plan and construction timetable for town athletic field
A presenter outlined a switch to down-facing LED fixtures to reduce light spill, dimmable pathway lighting and a post-tension track installation; turf installation began with mid-October target for majority completion.

A project presenter (S11) walked the council through renderings for new athletic-field lighting and a concession/restroom layout, explaining the plan would replace side-mounted halogen fixtures with down-facing LED lights to limit ambient spill and lower energy costs. "We are getting rid of the ambient light above the light," S11 said, and described dimmable, banked fixtures so event lighting can be tailored without illuminating surrounding areas.
