Ruth Jalor says catering roots inspired Ruth's African Kitchen in Wheaton

Ruth Jalor, owner of Ruth's African Kitchen in Wheaton, described in a video segment how her mother's catering work supported their family and inspired Jalor's culinary path. "My mom was a caterer, and she raised 8 children by herself cooking food. So the sales she made from that food paid for education, paid for the life we have today," Jalor said, recounting family history and the roots of her cooking.
