Jordan Howard, Gainesville ISD’s Director of Technology, told the board the district’s existing firewall is nearing its renewal period and has "identified support limitations, failover reliability issues, and usability concerns," and recommended a FortiGate solution to address those problems. The agenda packet listed a Resilient quote of $29,381.63 and indicated funding from the local budget.
