The board approved an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) permitting the county to process payroll for a part-time employee the Meriwether County Water and Sewerage Authority plans to hire for billing and day-to-day operations. Staff said the authority lacks its own payroll system and proposed that the county pay the employee through its payroll process and invoice the authority monthly for gross wages and employer FICA.
