The Meriwether County Board of Commissioners opened a public hearing on Sept. 14 for PC26-001, a rezoning request by Chisholmille Design and Build LLC seeking to change about 36.81 acres from Rural Reserve to R-1 to allow minimum 1.5-acre lots. Planning staff told the board the staff recommendation was for conditional approval "subject to the following conditions": verification of public water service from Lone Oak and confirmation of system capacity and availability from the Meriwether County Water and Sewer Authority before any lot smaller than two acres may be approved.
