The Pecos City Council voted to authorize the city manager to negotiate and execute a professional-services agreement with Safe Built to provide enhanced code-enforcement and development services. Safe Built's representative, Tracy, described a plan to place two code officers in Pecos (staggered schedules to ensure five days/week coverage), use CommunityCore software to track cases and evidence, and prioritize voluntary compliance before enforcement.
