Board approves multiple school policies, lists additional policies for first reading
The board approved policies including 208, 402, 423, 507.5, 509, 521, 709 and 901, and additionally listed seven policies for first reading including policy 509 and 524 among others.

At the Sept. 9 meeting, the Albany Area Schools board voted to approve multiple school board policies: 208 (Development, Adoption and Implementation of Policies), 402 (Disability Nondiscrimination Policy), 423 (Employee‑Student Relationships), 507.5 (School Resource Officers), 509 (Enrollment of Nonresident Students), 521 (Student Disability Nondiscrimination), 709 (Student Transportation Safety Policy), and 901 (Community Education). Member Sands moved approval and Member Ronning seconded; the motion was supported by all present.
