The Committee on Committees approved a resolution reducing the number of Sumner County commissioners on the Opioid Abatement Committee from five to three and adjusting the committee’s membership to seven total, with specified noncommissioner seats.

A resolution to modify membership on the Opioid Abatement Committee was presented and approved at the Sept. 14 meeting. The resolution reduces the number of Sumner County commissioners on that committee from five to three and defines the four noncommissioner seats as: the county mayor or designee, a law-enforcement representative serving Sumner County, a Sumner County citizen, and a medical/recovery-field representative.
