Project engineer Dave Nash told the commission the Nottingham regional basin is modeled with substantial off‑site influences, and the interim design asks for more freeboard than a typical on‑site pond. "Typically, we need to be 2 feet above a 100 year. I think in this case, on this 1, they're asking for 3 feet because it's a variable number, and it's it's it's a complicated it's not a typical we do a pond in our own site," Nash said, describing differences between interim and final 100‑year elevations as surrounding development is completed.
