Committee members recommended removing the policy's explicit requirement that training be "of 1 hour or more" because the legislation does not mandate a minimum length. Staff proposed simpler language that commits the district to "provide relevant training to employees regarding state and federal laws" and to require that training "not less than once every two years," with new employees completing required review or onboarding within 30 days.
