Purdue Extension to shift to service‑based model; county staff encouraged to suggest new programs

Carla Kenwell and Megan Salman of Purdue Extension gave the board their quarterly report, noting that 4‑H and fair operations were a major part of recent activity and that the office hosted a regional tractor safety contest. Salman described a planned operational shift: "So we are moving from a personnel based model to a service based model," she said, adding the change will let the county access a larger team of educators while retaining county‑based 4‑H staff.
