The Hernando County Board of County Commissioners voted to approve a master‑plan revision and associated rezoning (file H2541) for a parcel on Cortez Boulevard that the applicant said will host an upscale Italian restaurant. Development Services Director Owen De Pablo told the board the site — formerly a Salvation Army location near State Road 50 — is eligible for the requested PDP GC zoning and staff recommended approval with performance conditions.
