Allen Lanus briefed the board on Smith County Communications matters, reporting that the unit was awarded funding from Inez Reed and that staff recently completed training through the 911 Council and a FEMA course. Lanus said there is a battery backup issue he is currently addressing and noted that Kent Levin will attend the upcoming APCO conference.
