The council adopted a posthumous resolution honoring former council member Walt for years of community service, including military service in the U.S. Navy; the resolution was read into the record and passed unanimously.

Council member speaker 4 read a prepared resolution recognizing "Walter Walt Bennett" (resolution text as read) and outlining his years of service on the town council, park board and county plan commission and noting his U.S. Navy service from 1965 through 1969. "Walt gave many years of his life in service to the town of Kirkland and to Clinton County," the reader said.
