Gina James, Health & Human Services (S9), told the board the county received a state contract of about $2.7 million for developmental disability services and that the agenda items would allocate roughly $2.2 million to local providers. The funds mainly support adult employment and day services, with a smaller portion for child development (birth–3) through Progress Center. S9 listed provider partners including WISE (Washington Initiative for Supported Employment), Progress Center, LifeWorks, iEmbrace, Goodwill, Employers Overload and Encompass Career Solutions.
