Board approves Waterworks District 1 and IHSS Public Authority recommended budgets

The board adjourned as the Board of Supervisors and convened as the Waterworks District 1 Board of Directors to consider that district’s recommended FY 2026–27 budget. Staff presented total appropriations of $594,985 — an increase of $325,000 or roughly 120% from the prior year — and explained the change results mainly from a $400,000 federal earmark for a backup emergency generator. No public comment was offered and the directors voted to approve the recommendation.
