Pioneer Community Energy staff briefed the board on plans to expand service into Sutter County in October 2027, describe customer-facing programs and a stepped outreach campaign. The presenter said Pioneer has saved customers $145,000,000 since launch through 2025 and that the county will join other member jurisdictions next year. "In October 2027, the county will join Pioneer and 15 other jurisdictions, as we grow our territory," a Pioneer representative told the board.
