The county building department presented monthly permit statistics and program updates to the commissioners. "The total number of permits that we took in and issue in July '26 was 272 compared to 277 in July 2025," the department presenter said, reporting that year‑to‑date revenue had climbed past $1 million due to several larger commercial projects.
