Applicant asks planning board to pause waterfront permit while MassDEP issues jurisdictional determination
An attorney for the South River Home project told the Scituate Planning Board MassDEP will issue a waterways jurisdiction determination by Sept. 24 and asked the board to continue the public hearing so the DEP decision can inform next steps.

Adam Brodowski, a land-use attorney representing South River Home LLC and Union Street Realty Trust LLC, told the Scituate Planning Board that MassDEP has questioned the site’s presumptive historic high water line and that DEP will issue a jurisdictional determination "by no later than September 24." He asked the board to continue the public hearing on the project until the agency’s decision arrives so the applicants and peer reviewers can respond accordingly.
