Commission approves probation extensions and several reinstatements
In routine business, the commission approved multiple probation extensions for city employees and granted reinstatement requests from several departments, each approved by roll call.

Before taking up the Ryske appeal, the commission handled a slate of personnel items including probation extensions and reinstatements. The board approved a three-month extension for programmer analyst Donald Turner (retroactive 09/06/2026–12/06/2026) after a department letter explained his supervisory vacancy and prior promotional status. "The employee is aware," Erica Roberts said on behalf of the department.
