Board hears update on gifted supports and MTSS training
Staff said the audit will include inventorying supports for gifted students and that MTSS training and supplemental interventions are underway to better serve high‑end learners.

During questions about the audit’s scope, S2 (Committee member) asked whether gifted and talented work was included. S1 responded that the audit will establish a district baseline and explicitly include special populations — "how is it helping any of our special populations? Kids on 504s, IEPs, gifted and talented students." S3 added that MTSS efforts and teacher training are already underway and that interventions for high‑end students are being developed.
