FDOT presented a revised concept for a long‑running NW 43rd corridor project and asked the governing board whether to complete the network in one phase or proceed with a smaller segment now. FDOT said completing the full connection (widened shared‑use sidewalks and milling/resurfacing) would cost roughly $2.0–2.4 million under the latest design estimates; a smaller build limited to NW 43rd to LifeSouth was estimated at about $1.8 million.
