The full story
The Selectboard voted to site a two-port Level 2 electric vehicle charging station on the Town Green and authorized staff to execute the ChargeVermont/Green Mountain Power EVSE grant agreement and the Cummings Electric installation contract (quote #Q26-1203). The Chair said the installation carries no capital cost to the Town and cited roughly "approximately 21,000 EVs registered in Vermont, an estimated 90 to 130 in Bristol" to justify local investment; the total installation cost was presented as $22,962, fully funded by the grant and GMP incentive, with a requested contingency not to exceed $500 for change orders.
