Richfield board tightens Community Days plans as costs rise

The Parks and Recreation Board finalized logistics for Community Days (Aug. 7–9) and discussed rising costs: last years events ran over the council-approved $18,000 budget and leaders requested $22,000 this year to cover likely incidentals.

The Richfield Parks and Recreation Board reviewed final plans for Community Days, set for Aug. 7–9, and discussed staffing, prizes and signage at its July 6 meeting at Village Hall. The board confirmed activities including a spoon-and-egg race and three-legged race, and asked Steve Hoffman to follow up on prizes; Mayor Wheeler offered up to twenty $10 gift cards from local vendors to be used as awards.
