Board member (unnamed) opened with recognitions: the Office of the American Revolution and local partners asked the district to recognize several individuals for training and service dating to a November event; Brett Noble and a list of named honorees (Bobby French, Wilmette French, Herschel Powerman, Carolyn Holt, Rosemary Stallsworth) were noted. Miss Carolyn was asked to receive awards on behalf of administration.
Rockcastle County Schools board heard student Career and Technical Education presentations, received a report from CMTA on an energy-efficiency project showing large guaranteed and realized savings, got a construction update on the new middle school (including planned blasting and temporary bus routing), reviewed two draft school-calendar options (the calendar committee recommended a variable-calendar Option 1) and received routine financial/audit reports.
