The Giddings ISD Board of Trustees met June 19, 2025, at the district administration building. Trustees approved a consent agenda including routine financial items and service agreements; approved multiple pay-scale updates and cost-of-living increases for teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals and support staff; authorized a $200,000 budget amendment to install tennis-court lighting; adopted local policy updates for a four nine-week grading calendar and UIL SB 401 implementation (opt-out for homeschooled students); and voted to hire Chad Seitz as Giddings High School principal following closed-session personnel discussion. Board staff also reported preliminary STAAR results, summer programs participation, facilities and technology work underway.
