The Elkhart County Board of Commissioners and the Elkhart County Department of Stormwater Management met Oct. 27, 2025. Commissioners approved a range of routine items and grant applications, directed staff to review tree‑clearing bids for the County Road 17 project, approved a short-term amendment to the county jail medical contract with Wellpath LLC, authorized a special purchase resolution for firearms through Acme Sports Inc., and granted permission to apply for multiple emergency management grants. The Stormwater Management board approved two septic cost‑share decisions (one grant, one loan), authorized a task order with Ecopia Tech Corporation for impervious‑surface mapping, and heard the retirement announcement of Joe Foy, stormwater manager for the City of Elkhart.
