The Elko County Advisory Board (CAB) met to consider multiple Nevada Department of Wildlife items including an addendum to the Elk Species Management Plan that would create an annual Elk Management Subcommittee, amendments to the biennial Big Game Release Plan (including pronghorn and bighorn translocations), proposed accountability rules for master guides and subguides, disability-permit rule changes, and several Commission general regulations (motor restrictions, bait/ice-hole rules, and rules for coyote hunting contests). The CAB heard public comment, received presentations from NDOW staff (including survey results), and voted to support the elk plan, the big-game release amendment, and proposed regulation language for fishing and coyote contest rules.
