Arlington County Board held a working session with the countys state delegation and staff to review the countys 2026 legislative package. Major topics included an urgent request for state help after federal cuts to regional counterterrorism funding, a push for expanded local authority on affordable housing, a pilot to use license-plate readers for parking enforcement, tree-canopy protections, and oversight of the independent police auditor. The Board concluded with a unanimous motion to go into a closed session to discuss board appointments and appointee performance.
