The Energy and Environment Committee of Los Angeles City Council met Dec. 2 to consider a mayoral appointment to the Board of Water and Power Commissioners, public testimony on an indoor maximum-temperature rental ordinance, DWP/LA San updates on major water projects, and a CAO report recommending termination of the Removing Barriers to Recycling (RBR) program. The committee approved several consent items and the appointment but did not reach a majority to endorse the CAO recommendations, advancing the RBR item without recommendation.
