The City of Rome Zoning Board of Appeals (Dec. 3, 2025) heard three main variance/permit requests: a Woodhaven Ventures proposal for 23 multifamily buildings (230 units) seeking a use variance; a front-yard deck area variance for 928 West Liberty Street; and two actions for 207 Gardner Street (a use variance and a special-use permit to convert a garage to a mixed-use building). The board opened the public portions, received county planning memos (no recommendations), and approved the variances and permits.
