Upson County Board of Commissioners held its Dec. 9 regular meeting. Commissioners heard a contested preliminary plat appeal for the '10 Acres/Serenity Lake' subdivision and voted to deny the appeal; approved the 2026 budget with no M&O tax increase; authorized sheriff vehicle purchases and jail furnishings; approved sanitation rate increases and several moratorium-exemption parcel requests; and appointed Jessica Jones as county clerk.
