The Monroe Township Planning Board voted to recommend that the governing body declare the former municipal landfill and four adjacent parcels a non‑condemnation area in need of redevelopment to open the site to possible uses including community solar, after a planner’s report and public concerns about leachate, groundwater and long‑term monitoring.
