Chair called the meeting to order at 3:01 p.m.; Reverend Sylvia Jones of Mount Zion AME Church delivered the invocation urging commissioners to address homelessness and other community needs; commissioners recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Leon County Commission met in chambers to approve several proclamations, hear public comment, and take action on two major items: a realignment of CHSP (Community Human Services Partnership) funding with a substitute motion to approve the realignment while postponing MOU changes until after the Florida legislative session; and awarding a consultant contract to Fitch & Associates to analyze alternative, cost‑effective fire‑service models after the City gave notice to end the interlocal agreement.
