Chair Patrice Horstman called the meeting to order, introduced herself as District 1 supervisor and chair, and invited other supervisors to identify themselves (Jeronimo Vasquez, Tammy Ontiveras, Lena Fowler via Zoom, Matt/Deputy supervisors).
Coconino County Board of Supervisors convened in January 2026 in Flagstaff for a full regular meeting: the board recognized longtime Parks & Recreation commissioner Brian Blue; adopted two proclamations (Human Trafficking Awareness Month and Martin Luther King Jr. Day); approved a $1.375 million community facilities grant for a Tuba City Tribal Nation Service Center and several county contracts/resolutions including a conservation easement, a Fort Tuthill restroom contract, trail easement to the City of Flagstaff, and multiple public-safety agreements; the board also adopted a local floodplain study for Tusayan and held a joint work session with the Workforce Development Board to revise a shared governance agreement and bylaws.
