At its May 20, 2025 meeting the Sandusky Tree Commission discussed spring planting (44 trees planted), maintenance plans, and recommended raising the penalty in the city tree ordinance from $100 to a cap of up to $1,000; the commission voted to support that change pending law-department wording and commission approval.
