Public hearing on the Fairfax County School Board's proposed FY 2027 budget drew more than a dozen speakers who urged the board to preserve funding for adult and community education, restore elementary special education department chair positions, resolve a librarian stipend classification error, and prioritize staff compensation and transportation equity. The board will consider the budget at its Feb. 26 regular meeting.
