LaPorte County Plan Commission held its annual reorganization on Jan. 27, 2026, electing Rita Beaty president and James (Jimmy) Pressell III vice president and confirming several committee and staff appointments by unanimous votes. The commission also discussed recording a volunteer-to-appointment transition for a Data Center Task Force member and agreed to revisit committee assignments at the next meeting.
